Heraldic Shields

Transworld Trophies will be adding this new product line to its extensive range of products for 2018.
Historically, “ Heraldry” is a term used when identifying families or groups through signs and symbols on shields, banners or seals, often as a family crest or a coats of arms.

Today, Heraldic shields are seen in sports clubs, schools and universities all over the country, wall mounted in club houses and around bars.

They usually comprise of a wood backing, with a centre piece plus one or 2 scrolls. The centre piece denotes the club design or coats of arms. One scroll would usually be the name of the club/organisation. Then a further scroll may be added for names, dates, venues etc.

Many sports clubs use these shields as gifts to present to other clubs. In particular, if on tour, it would be a good way to promote the club.

In response to customer requests, TWT will be showing a competitive option in the 2018 “Champions” catalogue. The wood backs are specially made and will be available in either Mahogany or light Oak finish, then using the UV colour and laser expertise to create the centre piece and scrolls.

All details will be in the New Champions Catalogue due out in November.
